Our biggest patch, and not clustered in one postcode: Clifton and St Pauls, Bedminster and Easton, Filton and Patchway on the north fringe, then Downend, Whitchurch and Stapleton. Clifton and the centre take visitors and weekend trips. North Bristol works differently: the aerospace and engineering employers around Filton and Patchway bring people in for weeks at a time, and a placement at Southmead runs a month or more, so those houses hold a steadier calendar through the quiet months.
