Insurance Accommodation Across the UK

Across the UK, insurance accommodation is arranged sometimes by the insurer, sometimes by the loss adjuster on the claim, and sometimes by the household itself. Whoever is doing it, the move can happen before the surveyor has been out and before the work has been priced. If your insurer is arranging alternative accommodation while your home is repaired, there is one invoice for the whole stay and one contact throughout.

We place households after a claim in Bristol, Newport, Cardiff, Chepstow and Somerset, which is where our own properties are, rather than brokering a room in a town we have never been to. That matters when the whole point of the placement is to keep a family near the same schools, the same work and the same repair site. Most placements are whole houses or flats rather than hotel rooms, so a household stays together, cooks its own meals and washes its own clothes. Stays run from a few weeks to the better part of a year, and they extend when the repair schedule slips, which it usually does. One booking, one invoice for the whole placement, and the same contact throughout.
